As a Whitley ward councillor Rachel is working with residents of the Swallowfield Drive estate to look at improved access to the park for residents and the emergency services.
Local activists have collected petition signatures and Rachel is lobbying the housing association to respond and provide a safe pedestrian only access through to the park.
UPDATE 22nd FEBRUARY – Following Home Group’s formal consultation Rachel has had confirmation that the new gate will be installed in time for the summer holidays. SUCCESS!
