Elections

I have been blogging less than usual, which as ever is a sign of doing more not less!
The main reason is that the local election campaign is in full swing.

I'm honoured to be standing as Whitley's Labour candidate again.
My specific message to those of you who will be casting your vote in Whitley is:

It has been a privilege to serve as one of your local councillors for the last four years. I believe the next four years are crucial for Whitley as we rebuild after 4 years of Tory government and work for a better future for all of our community.

Your local Labour team continue to lead by campaigning for better facilities, to hold the authorities to account and to tackle traffic and anti-social behaviour issues.

In Reading we are determined to build up the sense of community spirit, reduce inequality and support investment for the future.

Whether it's an individual particular issue or a community wide campaign you can be sure I will consult and keep you in touch.

I am asking for your support again to continue this work.”

PS I've been able to keep up with tweeting, @racheleden so you can see more of what I'm up to there
