Residents to Have Their Say on Pharmacy Services in Reading
25/06/2014
Reading Borough Council Press Release
PUBLIC Health in Berkshire is carrying out a survey to find out what Reading residents think about local pharmacies.
The survey, which has been rolled out across the county, will be used to look at the services currently available at local pharmacies and make improvements.
Cllr Graeme Hoskin, Reading Borough Council’s Lead Member for Health said:
“Reading’s pharmacies are a really important part of the local health service. They’re a trusted source of information and play a key role in promoting and improving people’s health in their local communities.
“This survey will help us to understand what residents want from their local pharmacies and feed into our planning.”
Dr Lise Llewellyn, strategic director of Public Health Berkshire, said:
“Nationally, more people visit community pharmacies than any other part of the NHS. We want to hear about people’s experiences and their opinions about the pharmacies they use, to help us plan for the future of this key service.
“Every day, almost 20,000 people in Berkshire visit local pharmacies. Residents not only get access to ongoing medication, but receive advice on how to take their medication and manage minor illnesses.”
Survey forms are available at local pharmacies, or can be completed online at:
