I’m proud of what we’ve been able to achieve in a year as a minority administration in what really are tough times. I hope that people in Reading go to the polling station next week they will give us the opportunity to continue to run the council for them and with them.
It’s a great honour and privilege being a local representative and I believe that our slogan for these elections: “with you in tough times” isn’t just words.
Only the voters get to decide that of course, but I believe that a vote for Labour is not just a protest vote against the Conservative/Libdem coalition but a positive one for local champions who be on your side and get the best for you.
Whatever you think I hope you will vote next Thursday or make sure you send off your postal vote.
