A couple of weeks ago I went to meet a group of campaigners from Reading Mencap who are part of the ‘Hear my voice’ campaign. They asked me some big questions and I tried to give straight answers.

It was filmed and they’ve put it on you tube. Listening to our community and working with people affected by our decisions as councillors has always been important, it is now more vital than ever.
Labour councils are facing a huge challenge but we can still shape our communities and cooperating with residents is the best way to do that.
