Training

Did a 20 mile trip on Sunday, had planned 40 I wasn’t really well enough, so compromised. Feeling a little more optimistic afterwards as I managed all the hills without (too many) complaints. Need to get on with some more though – next week we’re planning to go to Oxford and back, which would be an equivalent of a full day on our ride.

It’s bucketted it down all morning today, which makes me concerned about the weather, something I haven’t really thought about – 20 minutes into work is bad enough when you can’t see where you’re going: 65 miles is another matter. I’m definately going to get contact lenses! And make sure our shoes are water resistant (waterproofs go without saying!)
