Quiz night for Rape support centre was a great success – photos!

The quiz night on Wednesday evening that was to raise awareness of the campaign for a rape support centre for Reading and Berkshire was a great success.
We got coverage on BBC Berkshire, Reading 107 and I have given interviews to both the Reading Post (who have kindly allowed us to use the photos on this page) and the Reading Chronicle and I hope they will appear in next week’s paper.
Monroe’s bar did us proud, both providing free food, and a great quiz master – as well as a prize.  Other local businesses chipped in with prizes and we raised £321.10 thanks to entry fees, a raffle and sponsorship from UNISON.
It was a great way of bringing together people who care about the campaign and a more lighthearted event, with over 70 people.  The only downside was that my team managed to end up with the wooden spoon!
In the background the campaigners and I are working hard to lobby for better support.  In the last month we have met with the police, the Ministry of Justice, the Primary Care Trust, Reading council, the Police and Crime Commissioner and of course the Survivor’s Trust.
UPDATE:  Reading 107 have also put their story online

If you came thank you very much – and see if you can spot yourself in the photos!
