Last Sunday Vicky Groulef and I were part of the Launchpad marshalling team. Despite the terrible running conditions as marshals we had a great time -we were all soaked by the end but it was a lot of fun.
I was the maniac in the yellow jacket just after the 5 mile mark telling people to turn left.
I’m told that Launchpad has raised over £8000 and hopes to reach £10,000.
A number of friends from the Labour party, work and elsewhere were running it but it was good to cheer people on. It’s the first time I’ve marshalled and I hope to do it again next year.
