I believe that the opportunities for involvement in the housing service in Reading have been really improved by some focused work that has been done over the last year and a half or so.
Part of it has been about clarifying what opportunities there are but particularly the new tenant scrutiny panel has been a real step forward. This isn’t about paying lip service but a real partnership between tenants and the council: as a tenant said to made this week, if you wear the shoes you know where they pinch”.
