For the second year running Reading women marched together to ‘Reclaim the Night’ For the second year running we’ve held a ‘Reclaim the Night’ march in Reading on the first Friday in December. This is an open and inclusive march for all women who want to be safe to walk through our streets.
Our chants were led by Sophia James and we gathered at Queen Victoria’s statue for speeches from Welfare officer of Reading University Student Union, Utilivu Women’s Group and me as Mayor. I’d love the march to be even bigger and more well known next year, so if you are interested in getting involved nearer the time please let me know.
